Take Your Outdoor Area To The Next Level

Your outdoor entertaining area can be the hub of your home, or your own private sanctuary. The most beautiful outdoor areas fuse the two to create a space that is, warm, inviting and peaceful simultaneously. When creating your outdoor space you rarely look past good seating, a barbecue, and outdoor dining setting as your essentials. These make up the heart of your space, and ensure that the area is both functional and enjoyable, often overlooked however are outdoor items that wouldn’t be listed as your necessities but are affordable ways to ramp up the good vibes.

First point of call, invest in a hanging chair. This is a fuss free solution as long as you have a truss to secure the chair to. These come in all sorts of materials, but I’d suggest a woven style with removable cushions. The rattan style material is durable which is important for the longevity of the piece as it’s exposed to the elements. This allows you to create your own outdoor nook to experience the ultimate slow moments, soak up the sun, with a good book and your morning coffee. If you don’t have any beams to attach this to then opt for an egg style chair, which comes with it’s own stand, or a free standing hammock. The objective is comfort and relaxation so pick your poison.

Although it may seem a little over the top in the Summer time, a fire pit is the perfect transeasonal accessory for your outdoor entertaining space. You can jump on board for an accessible $49 from Bunnings or if you wish to replicate the comfort of a crackling fire without the smoke then a gas option might be right for you. Keep in mind this comes with much more forward planning, installation and dollars but the outcome is a truly comforting, inviting communal space and plus, you can roast marshmallows!

Now for the showstopper, get yourself an outdoor shower. These can be seamlessly introduced into your space, particularly if you have wet areas like a pool or spa. Perfect in the Summer time for coastal living, but just as at home in the suburbs the outdoor shower is a luxury that few consider when crafting their dream outdoor space. This touch of luxury, elevates your space and if great for a rinse off after a swim, and just as well as dirt from a family game of soccer. You can create DIY version or splurge out for a brass option, the effect is a beautiful feature, with a bit of wow.
